Family Support:
The SMILE Group’s driving philosophy is that families and caretakers of consumers are equipped with the knowledge, training and awareness of services available to enhance the services provided to the consumer in the home.
The services rendered include but are not limited to:
- Support to family meeting the daily needs of consumers' residents
- Assistance and training for the consumer and family
- Additional information and resources to family/caretakers on consumer's diagnosis
- Coodinating training
- Assist wtih scheduling service delivery (medical, dental and other appointments)
- Assist with transportation
- Identifying backup providers/support
- Future planning for consumers
- Training consumers to maximize their independence
